South Cerney 2012 Opens

Two superb open competitions will take place at South Cerney Golf Club during September this year with early booking advised.

The Mixed Pairs Open will be held on Friday 21st September and has an entry-fee of just £25 per couple. The format is Greensome Stableford with handicap limits of 28 (men) and 36 (ladies). Coffee and a bacon roll are included on your arrival making this one of the best value mixed events in the area.

A half combined handicap allowance will be applied and tee-times are available from 8am. Prizes will be awarded to third place and for the best gross score. There will also be nearest-the-pin and longest drive prizes.

On Saturday 22nd September the club will host a Gents Open. This Individual Stableford competition is expected to fill up quickly because the entry-fee of just £15 not only includes coffee and a bacon roll on your arrival but also a driving range token and complimentary course planner. Superb value for a competitive round of golf on a weekend!

The maximum handicap limit is 21 with prizes awarded to third place in three handicap divisions. There will also be nearest-the-pin and longest drive prizes. Play will be off the white tees starting from 8am.

South Cerney Golf Course is situated on the edge of the popular Water Park area, just outside of Cirencester.

The 18 hole, par 70, 6,139 yard course offers a challenge for all abilities. Visitors are assured of a warm and friendly welcome, especially at the annual open events.

Practice facilities include an 8 bay full length driving range which provides ample opportunity to practice or warm up before your round. There is also a practice bunker and putting green available.
