Tight At The Top In Crewe

Three players share the lead on six under par going into the final round of the EuroPro Tour's ABC Solutions UK Championship in Crewe.

With 11 players within two shots of the lead, it's going to be an intriguing final round at Wychwood Park Golf Club on Friday as the tour stars battle for vital Order of Merit points.

Alex Belt (pictured) of the De Vere Club registered a solid round of 70, bookmarked by birdies at the 1st and 18th, to add to his opening round of 68.

Joining him at the top of the leaderboard is David Griffiths of Sea Island, who impressed in a round of 66 which featured five birdies plus an eagle at the par-five 12th.

Adam Stott of Reddish Vale scored his second consecutive 69, rolling in four birdies on the back nine.

James Westwood is in fourth place on five under after his 71. Low round of the day went to Ben Jones, who made eight birdies in a 65. That was an improvement of ten shots on his opening round and left him four under for the event and within striking distance.

Overnight leader George Woolgar got to eight under early in the day, but with four bogies and two doubles on his card, he ended with a 77 which left him one under.
