Local lads come good at Dibden

Ben Johnson (Stoneham) and Mark Dawe (Chilworth), who both live in the Waterside area, shared victory in the New Forest District Council Dibden Golf Centre Pro-Am.

Johnson, who lives in Hythe, and Dawe, who lives in Totton, both shot six-under-par rounds of 64 at the Dibden Golf Centre course. South Winchester’s Richard Adams took third place on 67.

Dawe won the Pro-Am with his team of Grant Pendrigh, Paul Lindsay and Dan Chalk. Their winning score of 125 was two better than Alresford’s Philip Bryden with Ron Liversly, Alan Wilson and Lee Goodall.

39 Teams took part in the Tournament, which was organised by John Slade and Paul Smith on behalf of the New Forest District Council.
