The A-Tour

Hundreds of golfers from all over the UK have already registered to take part in a new amateur golf tour.

Not surprising really as players competing on the ATOUR will be playing for the biggest prize in amateur golf and venues include Royal Liverpool Golf Club, host of the Open Championship on 11 occasions.

Amateur Tournament Golf (ATOUR) has been created to provide an elite tour experience for golfers with a handicap too high to enter major scratch events.

Twenty 18-hole tournaments will be held at top courses throughout the year where golfers can accrue points in an order-of-merit. Leading players will then have the opportunity to play in the season-ending championship at the luxurious Mere Golf & Country Club.

ATOUR is open to category 1 and 2 golfers. If your handicap is 12.4 or lower you qualify.

Play for the biggest prize in amateur golf. ATOUR guarantee the following prizes at all events:
  • Gross Winner: £500.00
  • Gross Runner-up: £250.00
  • Nett Winner: £250.00
  • Nett Runner-up: £125.00

No Geographical Restrictions
The first tour will be in Cheshire during 2011 and golfers from all corners of the UK have already signed up.

There are no geographical restrictions when entering any of the tournaments. Over the next few seasons the ATOUR concept will be introduced to other areas of the UK.
