Three superb open events will be played at Letchworth Golf Club later this year.

The first is their Junior Open on Thursday 22nd July. This competition is a 36 hole Individual Strokeplay competition open to boys and girls aged 12 to 18 on the 1st January 2010. The cost of entry is £20 which includes lunch and tea on the day plus a courtesy round on the 19th July. Full details and an entry-form for the boys event can be found here and the girls event here

The next tournament is the Gents Seniors Open for the Heritage Foundation & K Hammond Salver. This will take place on Thursday 16th September and very early booking is advised. Entry is £35 per person but golfers must be aged 55+ and have a handicap no higher than 18.4. The format is an Individual Medal combined with Stableford and includes coffee & biscuits on arrival and a 2-course meal after your round. Full details and an entry-form can be found here

Finally, on Sunday 10th October the ever-popular Mixed Pairs Open will be held. Although still a few months away you will need to get your entry-form in early if you are to secure a place in this competition. Entry is excellent value at just £55 per couple with the event taking a Greensome Stableford format. Handicap limits are 20 (men) and 30 (ladies). Tea/coffee & sandwiches are provided on arrival with an evening meal rounding the day off. Full details and an entry-form can be found here
