Charity Golf Day at Chorlton-cum-Hardy

There are still some places available in the Charity Team Open at Chorlton-cum-Hardy Golf Club that will take place on Sunday 30th May 2010.

The 4-person team competition is in aid of the Lady Captain's Charity, The Francis House Children's Hospice, and promises a fabulous day of golf and food.

The event is open to men and ladies (any combination) with maximum handicaps of 24 and 30 respectively. The cost of £140 per team (just £35 per person) represents very good value as this includes a delicious meal after your round.

The competition is a 1pm shotgun start with the best 2 Stableford scores to count on each hole.

Full details and an entry-form can be found here but hurry as the tournament is just over a week away!

Francis House, located in Didsbury, is a very special place and provides care for children and young adults with life-threatening conditions.

Chorlton-cum-Hardy is a challenging 18-hole, par 70, parkland course, set in the grounds of historic Barlow Hall.

Described as an oasis in the heart of the city this splendid course winds its way down narrow fairways and around the banks of the river Mersey. Located in such tranquil surroundings, it is difficult to believe that you are just 4 miles from Manchester city centre and in close proximity to the M60 motorway network.

With four par 3's and two par 5's that stretch the course to just below 6,000 yards, it is a great test for any golfer.
