We are delighted to give you more information about two excellent events at Normanton Golf Club later this year. The first event will take place on Saturday 17th July and is a Team Am-Am Open. The 4-person competition has an entry-fee of just £60 per team which can be gents, ladies or mixed. Handicap limits are 24 (men) and 36 (ladies) with a 3/4 allowance in operation. Tee slots are already filling up, so be quick if you want to play. Full details and an entry-form can be found here.
The second competition is exactly the same format and will be held on Friday 1st October. Although it is still a few months away places are limited and early booking is advised. Full details and an entry-form can be found here.
Both tournaments have excellent prize tables.
Normanton Golf Club boasts an 18 hole championship course which occupies 145 acres of the Hatfeild Hall Estate near Wakefield. Designed by Patrick Dawson, a course architect for part of the Augusta national course in America, it offers a true test of golfing ability.
Established in 1903, the 6200 yard layout offers a blend of parkland and elevations. The course incorporates impressive lakes and benefits from sympathetic preservations of long established trees and wildlife. The large undulating greens are built to U.S.G.A. standards and complement the attractive and challenging course.
