Cleckheaton & District Golf Club 2010 Open Competitions

Five fantastic open competitions will take place at Cleckheaton & District Golf Club in 2010.

There really is something for everyone with a Senior Pairs Open commencing their open competition schedule on Monday 17th May. This is a 4BBB Stableford for over 55's with a handicap of 24 or less. Entry is £30 per pair.

A Mixed Pairs Open takes place on Sunday 27th June and at £30 per couple represents excellent value for weekend golf. This is also a 4BBB Stableford with handicap limits of 24 (men) and 36 (ladies).

Another Seniors Golf Open is held on Thursday 5th August whilst a Ladies Team Open is played the following week on Tuesday 10th. This is an Am-Am Medal with the best 2 scores to count on each hole except on the 18th where all scores must count! The combined handicap limit is 120 with the cost of entry £50 per team of 4 ladies.

The popular Gents Team Open is scheduled for Sunday 12th September. This is also an Am-Am Medal with 2 scores to count. Entry is £80 per team of 4 with a maximum handicap limit of 20.

Places in the above are limited and entries close when the events become full - hurry and get your entry in so you don't miss out!

Cleckheaton, founded in 1900, was designed by Alister Mackenzie, the Yorkshireman responsible for many of the world’s greatest courses including Augusta National.

The holes offer a good blend of 'risk and reward' while several greens have the undulations and borrows for which his designs became famous.

Measuring just under 6,000 yards and with a par of 70 Cleckheaton enjoys a pleasant parkland setting and provides golfers of all abilities with an enjoyable challenge.
