Senior Pairs Open Golf Competition at Birstall Golf Club

A Senior Pairs Open is to be played at Birstall Golf Club next month and there are still some remaining places.

The event takes place on Wednesday 19th August and offers excellent value for money at just £30 per pair.

The format of the competition is a 4-Ball Betterball Stableford and is open to gentlemen aged 55 or over with a maximum handicap of 24.

An entry-form can be found here.

Birstall is one of the most established courses in Leicestershire with a very strong heritage and proud traditions. The course is situated to the north of Leicester and enjoys magnificent views over the city, the hills of Charnwood forest, and to the east towards Rutland.

The course is 6,239 yards long with a par and standard scratch score of 71 and is a delight to play, providing a fair and exciting challenge to the golfer. There are superb greens and fairways with some very challenging tree-lined holes on a layout which is fairly easy to walk.

The course and the facilities of the clubhouse ensure that visitors can enjoy a pleasant but challenging round and a friendly, sociable conclusion to their visit.
